Kleurstof, Exhibition design for TextielMuseum

Textiles surround us everywhere, and most of the time they are dyed. The exhibition ‘Kleurstof’ explores the origins and stories behind the dyes in our textiles. Through fashion, art, and design objects, and with new works by designers such as Claudy Jongstra, Antonio Guzman, Nienke Hoogvliet and Aboubakar Fofana, the TextielMuseum presents a captivating exhibition on dyes in textiles. The exhibition used the colors yellow, blue, and red as a starting point to showcase the beauty and complexities of dyed fabrics.

In this exhibition, we delve into the fascinating world of colours. Our goal was to create an immersive and accessible experience for a wide audience. Through a thoughtfully designed exhibition, we transformed the colors yellow, blue, and red into attractive fabric installations. These large ‘fabric on a roll’ displays serve as both aesthetic and informative guides, taking visitors on a journey through the exhibition. From conceptualization to production, we provided assistance to the TextielMuseum in bringing this exhibition to life.
